Ankit Agarwal, founder of HappyBoards

The kitchen does the work. The money has work to do there.

Pay the team. Cover the rent. Fix what breaks. Build something that lasts.

We built HappyBoards and got tired of giving away a share of every sale. So we built our own technology. Now we're opening it to other independent restaurants, without taking a commission.

Questions owners ask

What does HappyCatering charge?

No platform commission, monthly fee or setup fee. We add no food-price markup. Actual card-processing charges and net delivery costs still apply.

What comes out of my payout?

Actual card-processing charges are deducted from your payout. For delivery we arrange, you cover the courier cost after subtracting the delivery fee collected from the customer. If the customer pays $10 for delivery and the courier costs $15, you cover $5. We add no markup.

Why are you doing this for free?

We built the technology for HappyBoards, our own catering business. We chose to open it to other restaurants without taking a share of their food sales. It costs money to run; we simply aren't charging a platform commission or subscription.

How will I receive orders and get help?

Customers check out on your restaurant's HappyBoards storefront. During setup, we confirm where you'd like order notifications sent. The HappyBoards team handles customer support and is your contact for help.

Do I control my prices, lead times and minimums?

You set your prices. We configure supported lead times and minimums with you.

Will you introduce commissions later?

No. Our manifesto commits to no commissions ever. Read our manifesto
